Meet Lucille, Founder of Family Nutrition Center

Registered and licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist MS,RDN,LDN, CDE, FAND

Lucille Beseler is a registered and licensed dietitian/nutritionist, Certified Diabetes Educator, author, speaker and entrepreneur.  She is president and owner of the Family Nutrition Center of South Florida (FNC). Established in 1991, it was one of the first nutrition practices pioneering insurance coverage for nutrition services. Under the direction of Lucille Beseler, Family Nutrition Center has developed into a comprehensive practice providing a variety of nutrition services in multiple locations. Since its inception, the Family Nutrition Center of South Florida has seen over 300,000 children and adults for nutrition evaluation and care.

As an author her book Nurturing with Nutrition everything you need to know about feeding infants and toddlers receives high praise from physicians and families alike.

Beseler serves on the scientific advisory board and is a consultant to the following companies:

Beseler is a graduate of Queens College – City University of New York and earned a Master of Science degree from New York University.


Lucille Beseler is a sought after motivational speaker who has spoken to small audiences as well as groups of over 11,000. She has an upbeat, fun, and passionate style that audiences embrace. Beseler was the 91st President of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics representing 100,000 nutrition professionals. Her statement – “Nutrition is a Science, Nutrition is not a Fad” has highlighted the importance of the science of nutrition in transforming health.

Recently, she was invited to speak at the International Day of Women and Girls in Science commemoration at the United Nations in New York on February 10, 2017. She spoke about the Academy’s history, Second Century, the future of the dietetics profession and the future of women in STEM fields.

On February 16, 2017, Lucille spoke at the NASDAQ and rang the opening bell.  Her passionate speech highlighted the work of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics over the last 100 years. “Nutrition and all its related issues are at the center of our public conversation. Meet Our Team

Diana Santa Maria

Coconut Creek

Registered and licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist, MS,RDN,LDN

Diana joined the Family Nutrition Center of South Florida (FNCSF) with over a decade of experience as a clinical dietitian/nutritionist and a personal chef. She graduated with her Masters of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics from Florida International University. She has experience in both clinical and long-term care dietetics. Her specialty is weight loss, diabetes, and kidney disease. Diana is passionate about both the education element of nutrition as well as the culinary components to ensure that patients have an all-encompassing road map to staying healthy.

In addition to FNCSF she also works as an onsite dietitian for a kidney care center. Diana has extensive experience with monitoring nutritional status, evaluating labs, and patients adherence to diet. Diana also provides bilingual nutrition education and counseling in English and Spanish to patients and their family to help reach nutritional goals.

In all her roles, Diana prides herself in providing excellent customer service and person-centered patient care. She is a member of the National Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is actively involved in the Broward Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.

Maria Mayorga 

Miami & Pembroke Pine

Registered and licensed  Dietitian/Nutritionist, RDN,LDN 

Maria Mayorga is a Registered Licensed Dietitian Nutritionist certified by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed Dietitian/Nutritionist with the Florida Department of Health.

Maria  was born in Managua, Nicaragua and raised in Miami, Florida and is fluent in Spanish and English.  She is an  active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.  Maria eared her bachelor’s degree in Nutrition and Dietetics in 2006 from Florida International University. Maria has over 10 years of experience working with older adults with chronic diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, heart and kidney diseases. She leads community workshops for after school programs to help reduce childhood obesity as well as helped adults self-manage their chronic conditions.

Maria’s  aim is to help clients build a strong healthy relationship with food and find sustainable changes in their eating habits and lifestyle. Maria believes in the joy of rediscovering nutritious eating to improve life and health. Maria understands that there is no diet that fits all; nutrition must be individualized to a person’s specific condition and cultural background and counseling must be conducted in a compassionate manner. Her area of expertise includes diabetes counseling, weight management, and pediatric nutrition. She enjoys speaking to groups on the benefit of good nutrition to prevent disease.

In her free time Maria enjoys spending time with her wonderful husband and three daughters. Admittantly one of her daughters is a picky eater. She is active volunteer in her church community.

Eugenia Riccombeni


Miami & Pembroke Pines


Registered and licensed  Dietitian/Nutritionist, RDN,LDN 

Maria Eugenia Riccombeni  is a Registered and Licensed  Dietitian/Nutritionist, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Keiser University since 2013. Eugenia is an active member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is fluent in English and Spanish.

During her internship, she worked in some of Miami’s most prestigious hospitals including: Baptist Hospital and Miami Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. Throughout her clinical and work practice, Eugenia found her passion in helping people with a variety of illnesses learn how to manage their disease symptoms with Medical Nutrition Therapy.   She understands how the development of chronic disease is significantly caused by poor nutrition and obesity. Eugenia passionately teaches her patients that using the right foods will improve their quality of life.

After providing nutritional counseling for a number of years, Eugenia’s joy is found in teaching her patients a DIET-FREE approach to losing weight and meeting their nutritional goals. She guides her patients by teaching them how to balance meals, the importance of portion control, and how to become mindful eaters which aids with long term success. Her areas of expertise include digestive disease including FODMAP diet, weight management and bariatric surgery, pediatrics, food allergies and diabetes.

As an avid public speaker, Eugenia worked with the Healthy Weight Alliance to spread the message on the necessity of improving menu selections at Miami restaurants. She went on to assist restaurants in adapting their menus to include healthier options by simply modifying recipes while ensuring great taste.

During her free time she enjoys caring for her family by cooking balanced meals and promoting healthy eating awareness.

Diane Kingsley

Vero Beach

Registered and licensed  Dietitian/Nutritionist, RDN,LDN 

Diane’s passion is helping others. She has an easy-going non-judgmental approach to nutritional counseling and not only focuses on nutrition but also works to help her clients change their unhealthy habits and behaviors. Diane practices Medical Nutrition Therapy and provides evidence based nutrition counseling to her clients so they can be sure to receive the most up to date scientifically proven information.

Diane has been in the field of nutrition for over 20 years and now practices as a Licensed and Registered Dietitian and Licensed Massage Therapist in Vero Beach, FL. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelors in Nutrition and Dietetics from Keiser University and received her massage degree from Alpha Institute School of Massage and has received continuing education from Upledger Institute, US Kinesiology Institute of Chapel Hill and Life Mastery Institute.

Diane prides herself in being the past president of the Space Coast Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and is also on the scholarship chair of the Florida Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. She is on the Nutrition and Dietetics Advisory Board for Keiser University and is a preceptor for students at University of Florida.

Diane is a firm believer in giving back to the community. She not only volunteers as a preceptor to dietetic students, she also has a passion for going to third world countries on medical missionary trips. Her last trip took her to Chiapas, Mexico where she was able to give back by providing nutritional education to the indigenous Tzotzil Indians.
